WHAT IS MONKEY FLOWER VIRUS?

Monkeypox virus is a rare viral infection that humans contract mainly in the tropics of western and central Africa.

It is mostly spread by direct contact with animals such as squirrels, which are known to harbor the virus.

Primary symptoms of monkeypox include fever, headache, muscle aches, back pain, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and fatigue.

But the most unusual feature is a rash that usually starts on the face and then spreads to other parts of the body, most often to the genitals, hands or feet.

The rash changes and passes through different phases before eventually forming a crust, which then subsides.
