Dr. Dt. Sancar Şimşek explained the factors that cause toothache in his statement. Pointing out that toothache can have many different causes, Şimşek said, “When removing wisdom teeth, tooth decay, gingivitis, a random problem with tooth filling, sometimes teeth cause moderate or high pain due to cavities in the middle of the teeth. In case of a random toothache, it is necessary to consult a dentist without delay. Toothache is usually worse after eating and it is believed that the pain is caused by food. This is because of the food. Pain and ache occur in the tooth. For this reason, it is essential to clean the teeth adequately after a meal.
Underlining that if toothache causes different complications, it should definitely be treated under the supervision of a dentist. Dt. Şimşek said, “If an abscess occurs as a result of toothache, if tooth impact bleeding occurs during tooth brushing, if the tooth becomes sensitive to cold along with pain and if it ache, it is necessary to consult a dentist immediately.”
“TOOTH PAIN CAN ALSO AFFECT DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE BODY”
Şimşek, who warns that dental caries that are ignored and delayed by discontinuous tests may cause significant infections later on, said, “Progressive and long-term cavities and inflammations in the bone or gingiva cause swelling (abscess) in the face area later on. Later, with the hot-cold sensitivity that occurs in the tooth, important issues such as weakening and fractures may occur. Individuals with sensitive stomachs may also experience nausea due to the heavy and nasty smell from tooth decay. It has also been observed that toothache triggers jaw pain.
– Causes such as bone loss, wisdom teeth and teeth grinding bring along jaw pain. It causes severe pain and swelling in the area under the ear and in the middle of the jaw, in the eye and temple area, especially when trying to get a 20-year-old tooth. Pain can also occur with jaw weakness. A random loss of bone in the jawbone makes it difficult to retain the tooth and causes pain. Jaw pain is one of the most common complaints of those who use dentures with a chin abutment at the same time.
