The city of Severodonetsk in eastern Ukraine fell completely into the hands of the Russians after months of bombardment.

Severodonetsk Mayor Oleksandr Stryuk also confirmed that the Russians have completely occupied the city.

The Ukrainian army also announced that the Ukrainian soldiers resisting the Russian forces had withdrawn from the city. “After the withdrawal, the enemy is consolidating their positions in the city,” the army said in a statement.

Ukrainian military intelligence announced that the soldiers withdrawing from Severodonetsk to gain tactical advantage were redeployed to high places in Lyschank.
