Turkstat announced: Retail sales increased in March

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Retail Sales Indices for March 2023.

Accordingly, the retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 28.6 percent in March 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 17 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 38 percent, and automotive fuel sales by 17.8 percent.

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 7.3 percent in March 2023 compared to the previous month.

In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco decreased by 0.2 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 12.1%, and automotive fuel sales increased by 3.8 percent.

TURNOVER INCREASED BY 8.6 PERCENT MONTHLY

Retail turnover at current prices increased by 88.9 percent in March 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 96.1 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 108.8 percent, and automotive fuel sales by 28.7 percent.

Retail turnover at current prices increased by 8.6 percent in March 2023 compared to the previous month.

In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 6.2 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 12.2% and automotive fuel sales by 0.5 percent.
