BURSA (IGFA) – Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has implemented the exemplary practices of social municipality in Bursa during the struggle with the pandemic.

In this process, 140 thousand food packages, 900 thousand BESAŞ breads, 30 thousand 500 market nets, 31 thousand packages, 72 thousand hot food services, 10 thousand hygiene kits for schools, 6 thousand 500 products for people under quarantine. Vitamin C supplement package, 46 thousand vitamin C plates were distributed to health workers, police and gendarmerie members, nursing homes and care centers. Reaching approximately 200 thousand families, the Metropolitan Municipality distributed tablets and laptops to students in need within the scope of reinforcement for distance education.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which also commissioned ‘life water’ packages for families and tradesmen who were negatively affected by the pandemic, provided 10 million TL to neighborhood grocers with 400 TL checks distributed to 25 thousand households in need during Ramadan with the project that continues this year. .

Before the Eid al-Adha, the Metropolitan Municipality put a smile on the face of shoemakers and small shopkeepers operating in the ready-made garment sector.


Before the Eid al-Adha, the Metropolitan Municipality, which signed a protocol with Bursa Chamber of Shoemakers and Bursa Chamber of Ready-made Clothing, will distribute supplementary checks of 300 TL for 20 thousand children in need, and will be valid for tradesmen registered to these chambers. Distributing 5,000 checks valid for tradesmen registered in these two chambers during the Ramadan Feast in one-to-one form, the Metropolitan Municipality will thus contribute 7.5 million TL to the tradesmen with a total of 25 thousand checks.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Leader Alinur Aktaş reminded that they are the first municipality in Turkey to implement the Kart16 application, which allows citizens to buy the works they want from wherever they want, instead of the application of food distribution in parcels.

Reminding that in addition to the Kart16 project, they have put into place the mainstay check applications that will contribute to both the shopkeepers and the needy, Lider Aktaş said, “This project is a project that has been put forward so that we can touch the lives of our children so that they can smile during the holiday.
