The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that the second Turkey Maritime Hill will be held in Istanbul mid-July 1-2. In the statement that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend the opening of the hill, it was emphasized that the maritime department will be discussed with all parties.
ANKARA (IGFA) – The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure made a written statement regarding the 2nd Turkey Maritime Summit to be held in Istanbul on 1-2 July.
At the Summit, which will be held on an international scale, the developments in the maritime sector in the world and in Turkey in the recent period and especially after the pandemic will be evaluated. Branch Vision: Development of the Turkish Fleet, Ship Person Employment: Effects of the MLC Agreement, Marine Structures Infrastructure and Geopolitical Developments in the Focus of Logistics and Blue Homeland will be held in four main sessions.
In the statement, it was noted that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu will convey the views of senior executives of public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations, Leaders of chambers and associations, and representatives of special departments at the Summit.
Emphasizing that the summit will make a valuable contribution to Turkish Maritime, the statement said, “Foreign speakers of worldwide value in the maritime sector will share the developments in the world agenda and their evaluations of Turkey’s value for world maritime.”
In the underlining that the international statement in the maritime sector will be increased and more words will be gained, plans will be made within the framework of the logistics master plan for the infrastructure and superstructure investments of sea structures such as ports, shipyards, marinas , fishermen’s shelters, open sea platforms and their connections to the interior regions. Emphasizing our determination in all kinds of economic, commercial, military and political rights and interests in the Blue Homeland, it was also stated that short, medium and long-term plans will be carried out in line with our strategies.
