Moving in an upward trend in the first half of the day, BIST 100 index rose to 2,405.13, gaining 14.34 points compared to the previous close, with the prestige of 13.00. The total process volume stood at TL 16.4 billion.
BANKING INDEX LOST PRICE
In the first half, the banking index depreciated by 0.21 percent, while the holding index rose by 1.12 percent. In the middle of the segment indices, trade with 2.48 percent gained the most, and mining with 1.31 percent decreased the most.
Analysts said that while the expectations for high inflation continue, the information that strengthens the possibility of recession has increased the stagflation fluctuations in the economies, and that the volatility in the markets may remain on the agenda for a while.
Stating that the statements of the US Federal Reserve Leader (Fed) Jerome Powell and the European Central Bank Leader (ECB) Christine Lagarde will be at the center of the markets, analysts noted that industrial production and retail sales in the USA came to the fore on the data agenda.
Analysts reported that technically, the BIST 100 index held the 2,350 level as the mainstay and 2,470 points as the resistance position.
