Smoke panic on the London Underground
There were moments of fear at the Clapham Common subway station in London, the capital of England.
Passengers in the wagon, where the smoke came out, tried to throw themselves out in panic. Metro workers and people around broke the wagon windows with hammers to remove the passengers trapped under heavy smoke.
In the statement made by the authorities, it was noted that the smoke seen was caused by a malfunction in the ventilation fan, and there was no fire in the wagons. No loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
