After the removal of Covid-19 measures, the number of customers in shopping centers (AVM) across the country began to increase.
Turkey Shopping Centers and Retailers Federation Executive Council Leader Alp President Özpamukçu stated that the average number of visitors per day in 441 shopping malls in the country before the epidemic was around 6.5-7 million, and during the epidemic period, this number was 650 thousand on average. He said he was watching around.
Stating that with the removal of the Covid-19 measures, the number of daily 5 million visitors in shopping malls has been reached, Özpamukçu said, “Currently, we are about to catch up with 2019 in the number of customers, we are just about to come before the pandemic. It is customary that the economic contraction reduces the number of customers a little bit. but this year I think we will leave that behind.” he said he
Özpamukçu noted that the months of September, October and November will be decisive in terms of seeing the latest situation, and that the process is progressing well for now.
