Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, in his speech at the meeting with the officials at the Ministry, gave information about the places under the control of the Russian army in the war in Ukraine.
Sergey Shoigu stated that a valuable part of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic, including the cities of Krasny Port and Svyatogorsk along the left bank of the Donets River, was taken under control, and among the 15 cities under control, also Studenok, Yarovaya, Kirovsk, Yampol and Drobishevo. He also stated that there are large residential units.
’97 PERCENT OF LUHANSK IS UNDER CONTROL’
Noting that the settlements of the city of Severodonetsk are completely under control, Sergey Shoigu said, “The industrial zone of the city of Severodonetsk and the nearby residential units are under control. The raids are increasing on the Popasnoye side. (So-called) 97 percent of the territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic was liberated,” he said.
Shoigu shared the information that 51 foreign military technical vehicles were destroyed by the Russian army in Ukraine in the last 10 days, and noted that 12 military armored vehicles, 21 155 millimeter artillery batteries, 2 multi-barrel rocket launchers and 16 unmanned aerial vehicles were among them.
‘6 THOUSAND 489 UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS HAVE DELIVERED’
Sergey Shoigu stated that 126 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered in the last 5 days, and that 6,489 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered in the conflicts in Ukraine so far.
Noting that the efforts to return to normal life continue in the areas under the control of Russian military units, Shoigu stated that the port in Mariupol has been cleared of mines, the port continues its normal operations and the first cargo ships have entered the port.
‘BERDYANSK AND MARIUPOL PORTS ARE OPERATIONAL ORDINARY’
Noting that the ports of Berdyansk and Mariupol, which are under the control of the Russian army, are ready for grain shipment, Sergey Shoigu said, “The ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk are operating normally. We are ready to load grain from these ports at the command of the Commander-in-Chief (Russian President Vladimir Putin).
Shoigu stated that the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, continues to operate normally, and that 33 coal mines, 2 oil and 14 gas fields, which came under the control of the Donetsk and Luhansk Republics, are operated uninterruptedly.
Shoigu also pointed out that 57 percent of Ukraine’s metallurgical industry capacity is in the regions under their control.
‘WE MAINTAINED CONNECTION IN THE MIDDLE OF DONBAS AND CRIMEA’
Sergey Shoigu stated that the rules were established in 6 regions for the start of railway traffic in the middle of Ukraine, Donbas, Crimea and Russia, and said, “With the joint efforts of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Russian Railways Joint Stock Company, conditions were created for the resumption of full-fledged traffic in the middle of Russia, Donbas, Ukraine and Crimea. . Started to deliver goods to Mariupol, Berdyansk and Kherson. The railway, which is once again accessible, is 1200 kilometers,” he said.
Noting that the transportation infrastructure and repairs to water supply have created favorable conditions for the development of agriculture in the regions under control, Shoigu said, “This potential is 10 million tons of grain production and 1.4 million tons of vegetable production per year.”
