A protocol was signed last Friday for the annual financial aid of 1,200 TL that Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality will provide to 11th and 12th grade students in need who are preparing for the university exam.
GAZIANTEP (IGFA) – With the protocol, in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality, Gaziantep Governorship and Provincial Directorate of National Education, in the 2022-2023 academic year, formal education in the 11th and 12th grades is prepared for the university entrance exams of families in need and residing within the borders of Gaziantep. A cash basis of 1,200 TL in total, 600 TL each for the 1st and 2nd period, will be provided for the children who receive education, with the aim of using it for the purpose of supporting education.
METROPOLITAN SUPPLEMENTS TO EDUCATION WITH THE HELP OF STATIONERY AND CLOTHING
Within the scope of the support, 38 thousand students in the 11th grade and 32 thousand students in the 12th grade will benefit from this support. While a total of 84 million TL financial aid is provided for students preparing for university, the Metropolitan Municipality will have invested a total of 110 million TL in education, with the aid of bags and stationery for 75 thousand students and clothing for 12 thousand 500 students this year.
The students who will be financially supported will be identified by the Provincial Directorate of National Education and conveyed to the Metropolitan Municipality. In addition, an area will be created within the “Women Friendly City Gaziantep” portable application of the Metropolitan Municipality, where mothers can apply. Applications can be made between August 25 and September 25 through the application. As of September 5, applications will be evaluated and financial supplements will start to be deposited into the mothers’ bank accounts.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Leader Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül, Provincial National Education Director Yasin Zirve and Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General and Female Family and Social Services Department Leader Mehmet Abdullah Aksoy attended the protocol signing ceremony held at Gaziantep Governorship on Friday.
