ANKARA (IGFA) – Within the scope of the “Insurance of Education: Our Teachers” project, which was initiated in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Teacher Training and Development, the Turkish Education Association (TED) and Zurich Insurance, to support female teachers working in rural areas in the first years of their profession, 650 women attended the training sessions. teacher benefited.

Making an assessment on the subject, National Education Minister Mahmut Özer said that the aim of this project is; minimizing the environmental, physical and professional problems experienced by teachers, increasing their knowledge and increasing their motivation. It is to ensure that female teachers who are assigned to rural areas, such as villages, in the first years of their profession, make a better start to their working life by supporting their professional and individual development and to improve their professional skills.”

Minister Özer mentioned that this way, teachers will have a positive impact on both the students at the school where they have a mission during the project and the students they will train throughout their professional life.

Stating that the project aims to ensure local and social harmony of teachers and to create social entrepreneurship models, Özer shared the following information about the project: “50 teachers were included in the project at the first stage. A total of 650 teachers were reached with The inclusion of 100, 200 and 300 teachers in the process. Trainings were given under the titles of ‘professional development’, ‘personal development’ and ‘social entrepreneurship’ at different times. The project aims to reach 1,500 village teachers by the end of 2024.”
