President Erdoğan spoke at the award ceremony for the ‘Success in Overseas Contracting Services’. “I want you to support this great vision, these great goals, not an alliance, a party or a name,” Erdogan said.
ANKARA (IGFA) – Pointing out that Turkey is in a proud place with 48 companies in the list of the world’s 250 largest international contractors, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made valuable statements regarding the business and economics world at the award ceremony.
Attending the “Foreign Contracting Services Success Award Ceremony” of the Turkish Contractors Association, President Erdoğan emphasized that 7 companies are represented in the list of the world’s largest 225 international technical consultants. Mentioning how these numbers increased during the Prime Ministry and Presidency period, he personally witnessed the works of companies all over the world, and said, “We are pleased that our companies continue to represent our country successfully, despite the fact that the contracting branch is one of the areas most affected by the global economic crisis.”
Stating that the experience he had made him aspire to international contracting projects more determinedly, Erdoğan noted that the fact that more than half of these investments are made in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, where Turkey is located, is another picture that gives them an advantage.
Stating that the size of international contracting services is predicted to reach the level of 750 billion dollars in the 2030s, Erdoğan said, “We must jointly aim to increase the share our country receives from this big cake to 10 percent, that is, to 75 billion dollars in the first stage.”
“I believe that we should set this goal as at least 15 percent in our 2053 vision,” said Erdogan. “I would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the last 20 years.
“WHILE EUROPE WAS GOING TO HAVE STOMACH CRAMPS…”
Addressing the business world as well, President Erdoğan said, “We have such a great goal ahead of us that no individual, political or economic interest can prevent it,” and invited “I want you to support a party, not a name, but this great vision.”
