The General Directorate of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Management (KASKİ) warned the citizens not to throw the sacrificial wastes into the gratings on the Drainage and rain water lines during the Feast of Sacrifice.

A written statement was made by the General Directorate of KASKİ, and due to the approaching Eid al-Adha, the citizens were asked to show the necessary sensitivity about not throwing the sacrificial wastes into the sewer, rainwater borders, battlements and inspection chimneys.

The statement, which pointed out that the network borders may be blocked due to victim waste, may cause some negative effects, and the following words were included in the statement:

“Unfortunately, the existing borders can lose their function due to the sacrificial wastes and garbage thrown into the network lines that collect and rain water throughout our city and transmit it to the treatment plants. However, by blocking the flow, it can cause blockages in a short time and cause flooding. This situation can both cause financial losses and pose a significant risk in terms of public health.

In our center and districts, we periodically clean the sewer borders and gratings without interruption. Our groups carried out a comprehensive cleaning work before Eid al-Adha. In order not to encounter any possible negativity, we will continue to serve during the Eid al-Adha, according to the 24/7 basis. We believe that all our subscribers will show the necessary sensitivity to avoid any inconvenience, and we wish them a healthy and peaceful holiday.”

On the other hand, it was emphasized that in case of any negativity related to drinking water and sewerage during the Eid al-Adha, subscribers can call 185 Call Center and get the necessary support.
