CHP Deputy General Leader and Party Spokesperson Faik Öztrak reacted to the fact that the item basket and average item prices for May were not included in the inflation information announced by TURKSTAT, saying, “Where is TURKSTAT?”
ANKARA (IGFA)-After it was reported that the inflation in May rose to 73.50 percent by TUIK and to 160.67 percent according to ENAG, CHP Deputy General Leader and Party Spokesperson Faik Öztrak reacted to the situation on his social media account.
In his post on his social media account, “Where is the item basket and average item prices in May, TURKSTAT?” Öztrak asks, “The change of leadership in the department that publishes the inflation figures seems to have worked. Those who could not deal with inflation accelerated their efforts with the numbers of inflation”.
Stating that this is “dealing with” the minimum wage of millions of civil servants and retirees, Öztrak said, “It is a great evil. What has been done is the brunt of oppression. As soon as we come to work, we will go through an important examination of all statistics of TUIK, especially the numbers of inflation and national income. We will take the necessary action against those who eat sour without hesitation,” he said.
