Fuel prices continue to move up and down due to fluctuations in Brent oil and exchange rates. As of midnight tonight, the liter of diesel, whose price has increased by 87 cents, has exceeded 27 lira in some cities.
Depending on the changes in oil prices and dollar exchange rates, the volatility in fuel prices continues. On Thursday, August 18, there was an increase of 79 cents for diesel, a discount of 83 cents for fuel, on Saturday, August 20, an increase of 1 lira for diesel, 7 cents for diesel, and an increase of 95 cents for diesel on Thursday, August 25. After the successive price increases, there was another increase in fuel oil.
The liter of diesel increased by 87 cents. There was no random price change in fuel.
After the hike, the liter of diesel increased from 26 liras to 90 cents in Istanbul, 27 liras to 2 cents in Izmir, and 27 liras to 2 cents in Ankara.
Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average of the processed product prices in the Mediterranean market, including Turkey, and the changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may vary slightly compared to companies and cities due to competition and freedom.
