Greek Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis made evaluations on the agenda at a conference he attended.
Kiryakos Mitsotakis described the tensions between Greece and Turkey in the last period as an “unwelcome development”.
Mitsotakis said that they should be cautious about any scenario.
‘I AM NOT ONE TO HOLD A grudge’
Kiryakos Mitsotakis, recalling the words spoken to him by President Erdogan, said, “These pronunciations are nothing new. He also made statements to me after the events in Evros. However, after our meeting with President Erdogan in Istanbul, I had the impression that we had found a framework for reconciliation. I think we will talk at some point, “Because we need to talk. I’m not one to hold grudges.”
Mitsotakis stated that they do not want any tension in the field and said, “Our country’s obligation is to raise the problems and ask for reinforcements from our allies.
‘WE ARE READY TO MEET’
Kiryakos Mitsotakis stated that there should be no unrest within NATO, and said, “Greece is ready to defend its sovereign rights in any case.”
Asked whether he would meet with President Erdogan at the NATO Summit planned to be held in Madrid at the end of June, Mitsotakis replied, “We are ready.”
