Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Leader Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that a delegation from Misurata, Libya’s port, free zone and investment city, would come to Kayseri within the scope of their “Sister City” interests.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Leader Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç continues to work within the scope of strengthening and developing relations between Kayseri and different countries in a multi-directional manner. In this context, Lider Büyükkılıç went to Libya’s free zone and investment city Misurata and signed a sister city protocol with Misurata, within the scope of strengthening and developing interests in industry, trade and cultural fields with Lider Büyükkılıç, district municipality leaders and business people.
President Büyükkılıç said that a delegation from the sister city of Misurata, which is a port, free zone and investment city, would also come to Kayseri and mentioned that they would develop the sister city bond in historical, cultural, social and economic aspects within the scope of the protocol.
Making statements on the subject, Leader Büyükkılıç stated that this step is a valuable strategy for Kayseri and stated that they will host the delegation that came to Kayseri from Misurata in the city.
Emphasizing that the Misurata delegation will also meet with investors from Kayseri, Büyükkılıç said:
“We had taken a strategically valuable step in Kayseri. We became a sister city with the port, free zone and investment city. With this understanding, we went there, signed a protocol, took a decision from our assembly. After we visited, we invited them as well. Hopefully we will host them. Next week they will arrive on Tuesday and leave on Friday. Discussions will be held with the investors, how it will contribute to our city economically, how we, as the municipality, will contribute to our city will always be valued together.”
