Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov evaluated the process of restarting grain exports from Odessa, in a statement to reporters in the capital Moscow.
Dmitriy Peskov stated that the region needs to be cleared of mines so that Ukraine can continue to export grain from the port of Odessa and said, “This way, ships that pass our control will be able to enter the port and load grain. There is no concrete agreement regarding this process,” he said.
Recalling that Russian State Leader Vladimir Putin made various statements about the process, Peskov said, “Putin said that Ukraine should clear the mines around the ports. Thus, ships under our control for illegal arms shipments will be able to enter the port and load grain. There is no concrete agreement on this process,” he said.
Peskov also said that they may be the basis for the ships to leave Odessa to reach international waters, adding that a timetable for the process has not been determined.
