Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality sent amphibious vehicles to the region for the rescue efforts started after the flood disaster in Ankara.
KOCAELİ (IGFA) – Search and rescue activities and cleaning works continue due to the flood experienced after heavy rain in Ankara.
At the request of AFAD, an amphibious vehicle capable of being able to move both in water and on land was sent by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality for the rescue efforts started after the flood disaster in Ankara.
Announcing the issue from his social media account, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Leader Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın said, “After the flood disaster in Ankara, we sent an amphibious vehicle to the region to be used in rescue efforts. We will always heal the wounds together. May Allah protect us from disasters,” he said.
It was noted that the amphibious vehicle and 2 workers will reinforce the ongoing search and rescue efforts in Ankara Altındağ district by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Environment Protection and Inspection Department, Marine and Coastal Services Branch Directorate.
