MANİSA (İGFA) – MASKİ General Directorate, which continues its efforts to prevent environmental pollution and protect the nature of Manisa, has brought an advanced biological biological treatment plant to Kavaklıdere District of Alaşehir district with an investment of 4 million 100 thousand TL.

Successfully operated by the administration, the facility was entitled to receive a “Zero Waste Certificate” for its work within the framework of the “Zero Waste Project” carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

In this context, paper-cardboard, plastic, metal and glass wastes that can be recycled within the facility; It is collected from other wastes and recycled.

Gökhan Çevik, Deputy General Manager of MASKİ, underlined that the institution has adopted the zero waste management ideology, which includes preventing waste in all areas, using resources more efficiently, preventing or reducing waste generation, collecting and recycling at the source. Stating that their priority as the management is to ensure recycling and recovery in accordance with the zero waste legislation enacted in accordance with the Environment Law, without harming the environment and human health, he said, “Trainings are provided to our employees on the reduction and classification of wastes within the scope of the relevant regulation. “Our General Directorate, which continues to work successfully to contribute to the sustainable environment, to use our resources efficiently and to leave a more livable world to our future generations, has achieved another success on this occasion.
