Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio announced at a press conference that her country will increase its support to Ukraine in the face of financial difficulties.

Noting that Ukraine’s financial situation deteriorated after Russia’s attacks, Kishida noted that they received “calls to support short-term funds” from Ukraine. Saying that “as a G-7 country, they must meet these procedural requirements,” Kishida said that his country will provide another 300 million dollars in financial aid to Ukraine.

Thus, the financial aid volume of Japan to Ukraine will have reached 600 million dollars in total, with 300 million dollars of aid announced last month.
