Investigation of attack on İmamoğlu’s rally | 15 detainees released

15 suspects who were taken into custody regarding the events that took place in the “People’s Gathering” held yesterday in Erzurum with the participation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu were released.

According to the information obtained from the Governor’s Office, the teams of the Provincial Security Directorate examined the camera records of the tension in the city yesterday and identified 19 people related to the incident.

Police teams, who detained 13 suspects in the first stage, caught 2 more suspects, and efforts are underway to catch 4 more people.

The 15 suspects whose procedures were completed at the police station were referred to the courthouse.

One of the suspects was released after his statement at the prosecutor’s office. The 14 suspects who were referred to the court were released on condition of judicial control.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the identification of those involved in the incident continues.

Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ announced that 13 suspects were detained in connection with the incident.

On the other hand, 17 people injured in the incident were discharged from the hospitals where they were treated in the city.
