Employing more than 1 million individuals indirectly with its
260 members, the Turkish Metal Industrialists’ Union (MESS) has implemented the MEXT BİL-İşim Training and Employment Program with the aim of equipping the young generation with the competencies of the future and participating in the working life. The program designed by MESS in cooperation with the public, private departments and academia; Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. With the participation of Mr. Vedat Bilgin, the cooperation protocol was introduced at the meeting where the signing ceremony was held.
300 GENCE EMPLOYMENT WILL PROVIDE
MEXT BİL-İşim Training and Employment Program, implemented with the participation of the Mess Technology Center (MEXT), is offered with the certification of Boğaziçi University. In the program; There are training modules prepared specifically for the program by the world’s leading technology companies such as Amazon Web Services, Cisco, Microsoft and IBM. With the project, it is aimed that young people gain the competencies of the new age at the very beginning of their profession and contribute to their development.
With the program, it is aimed to support the learning journeys of 300 young people who are university seniors or recent graduates and have not joined the workforce. Within the scope of the program, young people will receive physical and online training for three months at a slow pace and tailored to their roles. In addition, they will have the opportunity to reinforce what they have learned in the field by taking part in applied projects in the industry. The program focuses on gaining competency in the three core roles that the industry needs most: Fully-Featured Web Developer, Cyber Security Specialist, Network and Systems Specialist.
WE CAN MAKE AT LEAST 10 NEW UNICORNs
Speaking at the introductory meeting of the MEXT BİL-İşim Training and Employment Program, MESS Executive Council Leader Özgür Burak Akkol said, “Developing software and technologies have brought an unprecedented impact in production processes. brings with it an increase in added value. As the competitive environment increases, the secret of our companies’ success will always be to keep digital competencies new. Today, we have around 140 thousand software developers in our country. Our software department has the potential to increase its current position in the economy 3-4 times, to create 100 thousand additional employment, to reach 10 billion dollars of exports and to produce 10 new unicorns. As MESS, we aim to contribute to the growth of the sector with the MEXT BİL-İşm Training and Employment Program. We will train 300 young people in the field of software and add them to the workforce in MESS member companies. We aim to make our program Turkey’s most comprehensive training and job placement program for qualified IT specialists.
