Graduation enthusiasm at KAYU Develi

The 15th Period graduation ceremony was held at Kayseri University (KAYU) Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School.

The ceremony held at Hidayet Tavır Culture and Congress Center in Kayseri was attended by Develi District Governor Sinan Aslan, Develi Municipality Leader Mehmet Cabbar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Derviş Boztosun, philanthropists, students and families participated in the district protocol.

At the graduation ceremony that started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Yılmaz Delice gave information about vocational schools.

Afterwards, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Derviş Boztosun congratulated all graduate students.

Stating that Kayseri University is a university with more vocational schools, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Derviş Boztosun said that as a university, they attach great importance to vocational and technical education and their cooperation in this regard.

Vice Rector Boztosun said, “Today, the students we graduate here are graduating from qualified programs. Although our culinary program has just started, it has achieved great success. They successfully represented our university in the festivals and races they attended. They announced the name of our university with the awards they received. That’s why I congratulate our academics and students with a mission in all our programs at Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School, especially our cookery program.”

In his speech, Boztosun mentioned that they tie a generation instead of throwing a cap to the students at graduation ceremonies and the place of tying generation in our classical culture: “This generation that we connect to our students is the generation of experience, the generation of patience, the generation of wisdom and the generation of loyalty. It also has a valuable place in our ancient culture. We instill truthfulness, honesty, patience, loyalty and tolerance in our graduates with the generational linking that includes the foundations of ahi-order at the foundation of our national culture. I congratulate all our graduate students again and wish them success in their future lives.”

Develi Municipality Leader Mehmet Cabbar and Develi District Governor Sinan Aslan gave speeches and congratulated the graduate students and their families.

Following the speeches, Vice Rector Boztosun presented a plaque to philanthropist businessman Suat Köylüoğlu for his contributions to the Develi Seyrani Campus.

The ceremony ended after the award-winning students were presented with their refreshments and all the graduates’ papers.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, 330 students from 5 departments graduated from Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School.
