ISTANBUL (IGFA) – A flag change took place in the Direct Selling Association, which was established in Turkey in 1994 to increase the public’s knowledge and confidence in direct selling.

Ediz Haksal, General Manager of Herbalife Nutrition Turkey, was chosen as the new period leader of the association. Ediz Haksal, who evaluated both the direct sales segment and the new period goals and plans of the association, said:

“With the prestige of 2022, the direct sales branch, which reached a size of 186 billion dollars in the world, reached a growth rate of 1.5 percent with the number of entrepreneurs rising to 128 million. Turkey, in the middle of the EU countries, positively differentiated in growth rate. While the direct sales segment grew by 3 percent in the EU in 2021, the growth rate in Turkey was 24.4 percent. The rise of micro-entrepreneurship, the increasing demand for flexible working during the pandemic and the search for additional income have ensured the steady growth of the branch. Turnover-based growth increased by 24.4% compared to the previous year and reached 3.5 billion TL in 2021. On the other hand, 35 percent of the total expenditure increase in direct sales came from wellness, 25 percent from cosmetics and personal care products, and 16 percent from household tools and equipment.”
