Fire in the chemical factory: 2 thousand square meters of area was ashes

A fire broke out in a chemical factory in the city of Berdsk, in the Novosibirsk region of Russia. A large number of firefighter groups affiliated to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia were sent to the scene to respond to the fire that started on the first floor of the 2-storey factory building in the morning.

Flames and black smoke rising from the factory, where a large amount of chemical matter was stored, caused great panic in the city. Rescue groups evacuated 6 employees at the factory.

FLAMES RISE TO THE FLOORS

The flames, which grew rapidly due to chemical elements, spread to the other floors of the factory. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia announced that more than 2 thousand square meters of area completely turned into ashes in the fire. While the cooling works at the factory were continuing, the district prosecutor’s office launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
