Fatah and Hamas condemn Israel’s crimes in Gaza

Fatah and Hamas movements called on the international community to condemn Israel’s crimes in the Gaza Strip, which it is blockading.

Fatah Movement Spokesperson Munzir al-Hayik and Hamas Political Office Member Musa Abu Marzuk called on the international community regarding the operation organized by the Israeli army.

In his statement, Munzir al-Hayik drew attention to the timing of the operation and said:

“A heinous and treacherous crime is committed by a terrorist state at night while people are sleeping, regardless of the slightest sense of humanity. This government is losing its mind, it continues its killing actions because of the silence of the international community and its confidence in its support stance.”

Calling the international community to stop the Israeli attacks, Munzir al-Hayik stressed that their march will never stop, no matter how great the losses.

Abu Marzouk from Hamas also included the following statements in his Twitter post, in which he called on the international community to condemn Israel:

“The blood of the martyrs paves the way for the liberation of Palestine. Targeting the leaders is proof of the correctness of the approach against the occupation. The message of the resistance will be comprehensive and unique, condemning the occupation and asking it to go away, not equating the victim and the executioner.”

The leadership of the Jerusalem Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, was targeted in the night air strikes carried out by the Israeli army and the Internal Intelligence Organization Shabak in various parts of the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 12 people were killed and 20 injured as a result of the attacks.

In a statement made after the incident, the Jerusalem Brigades drew attention to the fact that three of their leaders were the target of the attacks, and that the leaders’ wives and children were among the dead.

Also, in the statement, it was stated that Jihad Şakir Gannam, Secretary General of the Military Council from the leadership of the Jerusalem Brigades, Halil al-Behtini, the commander of the northern part of the city, and Tarık Izzeddin, one of the military work leaders in the West Bank, lost their lives in the attack.

Following the developments, the Government Press Office in Gaza said in a written statement that education was suspended in all educational institutions in the city until further notice.
