Exports set a record in April

According to the information announced by the Ministry of Trade, in April 2022, exports increased by 24.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 23 billion 364 million dollars, while imports increased by 34.9 percent to 29 billion 466 million dollars.

Foreign trade deficit rose to 6.1 billion dollars with an increase of 98 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

EXPORTS IN FOUR MONTHS 83.6 BILLION DOLLARS

Looking at the January-April period of 2022, exports increased by 21.7 percent to 83 billion 565 million, imports increased by 40 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. It increased by 1 to 116 billion 73 million dollars. In the same period, the foreign trade deficit increased by 129.7 percent to 32.5 billion dollars.

In April, the ratio of exports to imports decreased by 6.6 points compared to the same month of the previous year and became 79.3 percent. Excluding power data, the ratio of exports to imports increased by 3.2 points to 100.9 percent.
