Members of the Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra musical group, which won the Eurovision Music Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, answered journalists’ questions in Lviv, Ukraine.
Oleg Psyuk, the lead singer of the group, stated that they wanted to collect donations for Ukraine and said, “We will tour Europe to collect aid for Ukraine and its Armed Forces. We will announce the city where we will be performing on our Instagram page soon.”
“THE SCULPTURE WILL GO AT AUCTION”
Psyuk also mentioned that they will auction the statue, which was given as a prize at Eurovision, and donate the proceeds to the army.
Psyuk said that the group members want to popularize the music in Ukrainian language and promote the culture of the country.
Kalush Orchestra won 631 points in the 66th Eurovision Music Contest this year with the music of “Stefania”. Ukraine, which has participated in Eurovision since 2003, had previously won Eurovision in 2004 and 2016.
