Speaking to the Euractiv website, Estonian Prime Minister Kallas argued that while Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues, it does not make sense for the country’s leaders to carry out diplomacy with Russian leader Vladimir Putin over the phone.

Prime Minister Kallas said: “Putin sees himself as the center of attention because everybody wants to talk to him. I don’t see any random results. After all this phone traffic, Buça and İrpin took place. “We don’t see any signs that the conflict is waning,” he said.

“If everyone calls him all the time, he won’t get the message that he’s left alone. If we want to give this statement, don’t call him anymore,” he said.
