The 12-month current account deficit reached its highest level in 9 months with $25.7 billion.
ANKARA (IGFA) – According to the April payments stability statistics of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the current processes deficit increased by 1.2 billion dollars compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 2.7 billion dollars.
As a result, the 12-month current account deficit reached $25.7 billion and reached its highest level in 9 months.
Net income from the travel item increased by 933 million dollars compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 1.5 billion dollars.
Net inflows from direct investments remained finite at $323 million.
