Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Dönmez, shared his Twitter account yesterday, and evaluated the efforts to land 540 billion cubic meters of natural gas discovered in the Black Sea.

Dönmez said, “We are leaving a critical phase behind in the Black Sea gas and we are getting one step closer to the goal. The ship that will place the pipes on the seabed, left the Dardanelles and sailed towards Filyos today.”

Examining the construction of the Filyos Natural Gas Processing Plant with Vice President Fuat Oktay on May 28, Dönmez announced that the first pipes that will provide the passage of Black Sea gas will be laid from the shore on June 10, and that the platform that will lower the pipes on the deep sea side will come to Turkey in July.
