The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published seasonally adjusted construction production data for the European Union (EU) and Eurozone for March.
Production, construction production in the EU increased by 0.2 percent in March compared to February and by 4.1 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
In the Euro Zone, on the other hand, construction production did not change in March compared to the previous month, but increased by 3.3 percent compared to March 2021.
In the middle of EU countries, the highest increase in marta construction production compared to the previous month was measured in Poland with 5.1 percent, Sweden with 2.4 percent and Germany with 1.1 percent.
The biggest decrease was in Slovenia with 7.8 percent, in Hungary with 5.7 percent and in Czechia with 3.6 percent.
On an annual basis, construction production increased by 27.7 percent in Poland, 12.3 percent in Slovenia and 10.5 percent in Hungary, while 7.7 percent in Spain, 2.2 percent in Belgium and 0 percent in Germany. It fell by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent in Austria.
