A liquid issue seen in the wagon of the train moving on the Tobu Noda Line in Chiba province of Japan caused a short-term panic.

According to the words of security sources and eyewitnesses, an unknown liquid was found on the floor of a carriage of the train, which was making its systematic journey in the middle of Kashiwa and Omiya stations, at around 06:15 local time. Due to the smell surrounding the wagon, the passengers reported the situation to the authorities and the train was stopped at Nodashi Station.

While many police and medical teams were sent to the region against the possibility of chemical attack, passengers were evacuated as a precaution. It was learned that 2 women traveling in the wagon where the liquid was seen were taken to the hospital with complaints of nausea. In the first examination, it was stated that no toxic component was detected in the suspicious liquid, which was stated to be colorless. A detailed investigation was launched to determine how the liquid spilled onto the floor of the train.

The event that took place today caused concern as it reminds us of the terrorist attack carried out by the Aum Shinrikyo sect using sarin gas on March 20, 1995 in Japan. The attack, aimed at the Kasumigaseki subway station in Tokyo, killed 14 people and injured 6,300 people.
