The Central Bank published its monthly price developments assessment for May.

ANKARA (IGFA) – The Central Bank’s “May Price Developments” report has been published.

In the valuation report published on the website, it was noted that consumer prices increased by 2.98 percent in May, and annual inflation was 73.50 percent.

It was underlined that the increase in annual consumer inflation spread across sub-clusters in May, and that the most obvious contribution to this development came from the core goods and services clusters.

“In May, annual inflation in core goods increased in all sub-clusters,” the report said. “The price of fresh fruit and vegetables, which had increased sharply in the previous month, was partially adjusted due to vegetable prices in this period. Mains water and fuel oil items came to the fore in power prices.”
