Aydın Doğan Foundation hosted successful students in Istanbul during the week of May 19

36 successful female students staying in the dormitories built as part of the Daddy Send Me to School campaign are participating in the ‘Success Takes Us to Istanbul’ event as the guests of the Foundation.

ISTANBUL İGFA- 36 successful female students staying in the dormitories built as part of the Daddy Send Me to School campaign, are experiencing the enthusiasm of 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day in Istanbul with their teachers as part of the ‘Success Takes Us to Istanbul’ trip.

Organized by the Aydın Doğan Foundation since 2009 and aiming to contribute to the development of the visions of successful female students and to bring them together with role models, this year’s organization was attended by students from Erzurum, Yalova, Ağrı , Gumushane, Nevsehir, Fethiye and Konya. 36 students attend.


An award ceremony was held at Doğan Holding on Monday, May 16 for successful female students. ‘su Çağlar Göğüş, Doğan Holding Independent Board Member Faik Açıkalın, Aydın Doğan Foundation Board Member Volkan Vural, Erol Çamur, Ahmet Toksoy, Hepsiburada Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Senior Manager Ömer Ertum, Doğan Holding Chief Legal Counsel Güventürk Kızılyel, Doğan Holding Candan Fetvacı , Leader of the Executive Council of Aydın Doğan Foundation, who made the opening speech of the ceremony in which people such as Deputy Human Resources Leader Şebnem Bezmen, Doğan Holding Human Resources Manager Tuncay Pamuklu and Doğan Holding Architect Zeynep Doğan were present, said: We believe they should be given the opportunity to explore. The focus of our activities is on the education of girls and their equal access to opportunities. n developing and deepening the studies we have carried out on this subject in recent years under the title of ‘Strong Girls, Strong Futures’. Our 36 girls and how many of them we host in Istanbul today will play a major role in the realization of a more pleasant Turkey. We will continue to support our girls, whose achievements we are proud of, throughout their education life.”

At the end of the ceremony, the successful students were presented with computers by Hepsiburada.


The students and their teachers, who will be hosted by the Aydın Doğan Foundation until 19 May, in Dolmabahçe Palace, Topkapı Palace will visit the historical and touristic places of the city such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Istanbul Archeology Museum, Maiden’s Tower and Camlica. Students, who will attend the introductory meeting held at Istanbul Technical University as part of the trip, met with Dean Prof. Dr. They will come to a meeting with Ömer Ekmekçi and get information about the faculty and law education.
