Explaining that the crops harvested on approximately 500 decares of land in the BAKAP Agriculture Campus located in Gölbaşı Karaoğlan Mahallesi and belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality will be distributed free of charge to local producers and small family businesses, Yavaş said, “We are trying so that our farmers from Ankara do not have to sell their crops at high prices and sell them at low prices.” .

Stating that they will continue the projects that will accelerate rural development in the capital, Rural Services Department Agricultural Engineer Volkan Dinçer also gave the following information about the first harvest of the year held at BAKAP Agriculture Campus in Gölbaşı Karaoğlan District:
“We are currently harvesting the mixed plantings of Hungarian vetch, wheat and barley that we planted in BAKAP soil in October. We will distribute the products we obtained from this harvest to our small family businesses and our farmers in Ankara. As a second work, we will also plant silage corn in the soil.”
Rural Services Department, which started the shaping, collecting and baling process after sowing, started to harvest quality grass bales to be used in animal production.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which provides support to local producers in many aspects from seeds to fertilizers, aims to contribute to their economy by distributing various agricultural products, which its delegation has grown in BAKAP Agriculture Campus, to both domestic producers and small family businesses for free .
