Mudanya Armistice Advisory Council was established within the Mudanya Municipality to celebrate the Mudanya Armistice, which opened the way for Turkey’s independence 100 years ago, with an activity worthy of its name this year. The delegation will hold its first meeting on August 26 at Tirilye Art House.
BURSA (IGFA) – The 100th anniversary of the Armistice of Mudanya is expected to be held enthusiastically with the celebrations to be held on October 9-11.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Mudanya Armistice, an Advisory Board was formed by the Mudanya Municipality under the chairmanship of the former General Leader of the SHP, the former Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Leader Murat Karayalcin.
The Advisory Council, which will hold its first meeting on August 26 at the Art House in Tirilye Mahallesi, hosted by Mudanya Municipality, will attend NATO Permanent Representative Onur Ömen, CHP Istanbul Deputy Ünal Çeviköz, European Council Parliamentary Assembly Honorary Member Gülsün Bilgehan, UNICEF Turkey Beautiful Goodwill Ambassador Ayşe Kulin, METU History Department Leader Dr. Seçil Karal Akgün, retired Brigadier General Ali Er, who served in NATO IMS, Istanbul Gedik University International Bonds Section Leader Dr. Süha Atatüre, Leader of the History Foundation, Dr. Mehmet Öznur Alkan and journalists Sedat Ergin and Murat Ehil took place.
Mudanya Municipality Leader Hayri Türkyılmaz, who underlined that they wanted to sign a special event for the “100th Anniversary of the Armistice of Mudanya”, said that the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, especially İsmet İnönü and his comrades left us, who ended the hot war era and prepared the place for the diplomatic era. He said that they are working with all their strength to carry the trust that laid the foundation of the Republic of Turkey to future generations.
