In the northern German town of Oldenburg, a boy was found alive in a sewer eight days after he went missing.
Search teams, trying to find the disabled boy named Joe, who disappeared from the garden of his home on June 17, ended the rescue work.
The boy, who was found under the manhole cover 300 meters from his home after a noise heard by a pedestrian walking on the road on 25 June, was found without clothes and cold.
While the child, who had health problems due to dehydration, was taken to the hospital, his clothes were found in another part of the sewer.
Police in Oldenburg said in a statement that the investigation concluded that the boy had climbed into a drainage pipe near his residence and subsequently disappeared into narrow tunnels.
