67 8-meter Karsan Atak buses were delivered to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality.
MERSİN (IGFA) – Karsan, which won the vehicle purchase tender opened by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality with the contributions of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is preparing to offer 118 Menarinibus Citymood CNG buses to the use of Mersin residents.
Karsan made its newest delivery for local administrations in Turkey with a ceremony held in Tarsus Cumhuriyet Square.
Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Leader Vahap Seçer, Mersin Deputy Ali Zengin Basdogan, Tarsus Municipality Leader Haluk Bozdoğan, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Olcay Tok, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department Leader Ersan Topçuğlu, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Public Transport Manager Bayram Demir and Tarsus Municipality Council Members, Karsan Domestic Sales and Foreign Bonds Deputy General Manager Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu and Karsan Sales Manager Adem Ali Metin attended.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş, stating that cities continue to provide a basis for public transportation solutions, said, “This delivery we made to Mersin, one of the most pleasant cities of the Mediterranean coastline with a historical and contemporary texture , is extremely valuable for the public transportation analysis of the city. After the deliveries we have made, the people of Mersin will be able to travel more comfortably and more confidently in the city.”
It is planned that Karsan’s total number of vehicles serving in Mersin will increase to 272 following the deliveries.
